It’s simple really, for one year I’ll write about Batman. His friends and allies, foes and adversaries, video games, comic books, and movies.
According to Comicvine.com the first appearance of Batman is Detective Comics #27, that’s pretty widely known. I think it’s interesting that they also have the in-store date for the May issue was April 18, 1939.
Oh hey look, that’s today’s date, plus seventy-five years. Some people might even call this Bat-Friday.
By “most people”, I mean me.
Batman has gone through a lot of changes since his introduction all those years ago in since his first appearance in 1939. He’s been in every type of media. I want this to be a journey through one of my favorite characters and his adventures. Have some goddamned Batman fun along the way.
This isn’t supposed to be a “recommended reading or watching list”. I won’t get through everything I’d like, there are only fifty-two weeks in a year and there is so much material to go through it would take a lifetime, but getting to go through, but what I can should be fun.
